
Central Spine Road (CSR) Expressway - Crossing the Green Lung of Peninsular Malaysia (347 km).. ????????
The 347 km toll-free Central Spine Road (CSR), which will reduce travel time and serve as an alternative route for motorists travelling between Bentong, Pahang and Kelantan, will be completed by 2023.
Central Spine Road (Federal Route 34), is a new expressway under construction and partially completed in the center of Peninsular Malaysia. It is a toll-free highway.
The CSR project involves six packages and 30 sub-packages. In Pahang, it involves four packages along with 19 sub-packages costing RM5.6 billion. The CSR project offers road users an alternative route to the east coast and reduces travel time from between 7 hours to less than 5 hours.
CSR, which deploys the Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP) method, comprises six phases: from Kuala Krai to Jambatan Sungai Lakit, Kelantan (47km); Jambatan Sungai Lakit to Gua Musang, Kelantan (60km); Gua Musang to Kampung Relong, Pahang (94km); Kampung Relong to Raub, Pahang (45km); Raub to Bentong (54km); and Bentong to Simpang Pelangai (47km).
